IT-Department

The IT-department has several projects running within the Smart City area.

Tórshavnar kommuna has set goals in order to become a leading city within innovation and development as it is the perfect test-hub to get fast from the start and test out scaleable solutions that, later, can be implemented in larger cities.

One of the projects we currently are running is to visualize buildings and constructions in Augmented Reality – in this case we are working with Microsoft using their HoloLens technology.

The HoloLens project runs in collaboration with the IT-department, Technical department and the Urban Planning department.
